SAP SuccessFactors Equips Asia for the New World of Work

Over 400 companies worldwide have gone live with SAP SuccessFactors Human Experience Management (HXM) suite in the first half of 2020 to equip them in the new world of work.

The global pandemic has elevated the role of HR in leading organizations, big or small, during these unprecedented times. As the current business environment continues to evolve, HR is given the central role of ensuring employees are confidently adapting to remote working; all business functions seamlessly working together, and the organization complies with new regulations while securing business continuity.

Asia’s Latest Adopters

Here are some of the organizations in Asia that went live with SAP SuccessFactors in the first half of the year:

Jiangsu Hengshun Group Co. Ltd., built in 1840, is the largest vinegar producer in China with a presence in 50 countries all over Asia, Europe, America, Oceania, and Africa. The global enterprise deployed SAP S/4HANA, SAP Sales Cloud, SAP Marketing Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SAP SuccessFactors solutions to accelerate its digital transformation and for its business development to realize its vision.

Mageline Biotechnology Co. Ltd. , a high-end Chinese skincare brand with independent R&D production bases in China and the United States, has also adopted SAP technology to support the fast business expansion in the domestic and overseas market. Aside from SAP SuccessFactors solutions, the organization has also chosen SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP Concur solutions, SAP Analytics Cloud to further its digitalization.

Genting Hong Kong, has selected SAP SuccessFactors to support the technology-led transformation of the company’s human resource operations post-pandemic. This strategy aligns with the leisure company’s long-term expansion, including the management of its 16,000-strong workforce that operates over a vast network of cruise ships and outports.

ICBC (Asia) has deployed SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll, Onboarding, Recruiting, Compensation, HXM Suite, and Human Capital Management solutions early this year alongside the commemoration of the company’s 20th anniversary.

Adapting to the New Rules of Work

SAP SuccessFactors continue to provide solutions to help businesses quickly and safely comply with the new rules and regulations brought by the pandemic through a robust localization strategy. 

Designed for unexpected emergencies like that of COVID-19, SAP SuccessFactors software on the management of payroll, streamlining of human resource (HR) services, management of visa and permits, and document control can be updated to adapt to the needs of any particular population in the world.

Specifically, the SAP Globalization Services team, in close coordination with customers and partners worldwide, provides solutions for an array of changes, quickly and effectively.

Malaysia and Japan are two of the countries in Asia that have leveraged SAP SuccessFactors solutions in tackling the pandemic.

Malaysia has introduced an economic stimulus package to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on employees. The SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll is structured to allow the minimum employee contribution to the employees’ provident fund to be reduced by four percent. To aid employers in the legal changes, the localization team introduced multiple HR support packages and instructional guides.

Over in Japan, the localization team has focused on providing system accommodations for employees who have been absent from work due to COVID-19 as well as for those whose remuneration has fallen markedly due to this absence. SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll allows a special exception for these employees to let them receive their standard monthly remuneration for health insurance and employees’ pension insurance revised from the following month.
